Born in Perthshire, Scotland, Frazer was a founding member of the Scottish Society of Artists, and became the society’s president in 1908. Frazer exhibited his work throughout his career at the Royal Society of British Artists, the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, the Royal Scottish Society of Watercolor Painters and the Royal Scottish Academy. Frazer studied in Edinburg and Paris. He was well known as a landscape painter, and traveled frequently to Algeria, Holland, Italy and Norway, however, he was most fond of portraying the lowlands of Scotland.
